The valve core of a Schrader is the same mechanism as the core of the Presta, so they hold our equally well. I prefer Schrader on a commuter bike for convenience of not having to carry a presta valve adapter - it messes with my matching CNC anodized valve caps 😆

Years ago, I bought a pre-owned Trek MTB with presta valves . . . Definitely NOT PRACTICAL for rough riding! I pumped more air than pedals! 😂

My schrader’s sit crooked in my wheel as well. It drives me crazy, but not crazy enough to deflate it and fix it.🤔

you can use the round end of shrader valve plastic cap to let out the air .

presta ALL.THE.WHEELS! I keep a set of schrader adapters in my saddle bag along with my tube repair kit just in case, better to have and not need vs need and not have.
