True…but a pretty classroom makes me and most of my kids happy. I totally agree that teachers need to focus on being a good teacher before even worrying about the pretty stuff, I tell this to ALL of my preservice teachers. As a teacher of over 20 years, I love my pretty classroom. It’s a space that I literally spend the second most of my time and I want it to make me feel good and this does contribute to some aspects of me and my teaching but it’s not everything.
