got a few details wrong. they went sent into an alternate dimension. they were sent 5 years in the future. the "mage" aka leader of the scions of the seventh dawn. actually sacrificed himself by taking the goddess hydaelyn's power to end the primal bahamut's rage. stopping the end of the world but it destoryed him literally. his body turned into just aether that dissipated in the wind. and due to how the calamities happened and their effects this wiped the memories of the WoLs that existed during 1.0 and the WoLs 1.0 also got their memories erased. as calamities (redacting reason calamities are caused) effected peoples memories. this one was so big it effected the whole world.

back in 2005 there was a private server for Lineage 2 that was closing up. The day of the closing the GMs spawned bunch endgame bosses in every city. In the end the bosses killed every player still online
