I’ve gotten them twice and both times I threw away everything I can’t stand bugs. I slept on floor for weeks too scared to bring in a new bed. I would have freaked out.

I’m a bug nerd, and have learned WAY too much about what people go through when they get bed bugs from being in insect ID groups. I am TERRIFIED of them. All it takes is accidentally brushing against someone with a hitch hiker on their clothes, or picking up a piece of second hand furniture, or staying in the wrong hotel. I check every hotel room I rent before bringing a single thing in. I even found one in a 2 month old Hilton Home 2 suites one time! 😩

as a kid, I would wake up with them in my hair, all over my face, it traumatized me, I would wake up screaming. They bite and the smell awful ( once smashed)

Girl I did not know what they looked like either and i got a job as an apartment manager and they had bed bug problems yes they are so hard to get rid of!

I have a bed bug infestation and have been living with them for years I am 17 years old and my family refuses to believe they are parasitic and are terrible sh*t heads I have gone nuts trying to keep my room clean but my grandparents hoard all the time and think they are fine 😐

Heat kills them. Not cold showers. I was an investigator that brought one/dome home one day, unknowingly. Wreaked havoc on my home life for about a month. Man, those things procreate FAST!!! I’m still traumatized w/bed bug PTSD!

Bed bugs seem horrible. and the fact that your patient seemed so unbothered and just flicked it away is sad because that apartment was probably infested for a LONG time before she came in. I also can't stand maggots. Those icky things creep me out for some reason.

Oh my God! Yes! We had them for months and didn’t even know it… My son‘s dad went to stay with his sister and brought home a pillow from her house that was all it took! he kept waking up in the middle of the night saying “something is biting me!” but we could never find WHAT was actually biting! and I ended up having to steam clean our entire house and either throw things away or put everything in the dryer or a really long time. It was awful. I feel you.

I worked in a nursing facility where a family member brought them, the would move the resident out and heat the entire studio and then adjacent and a room down the hall, they also used a chemical and would spray clothes etc. it took awhile before it was clear. we had to throw their laundry in the dryer and spray our shoes with like a rubbing alcohol when we left the room.

So gross! I work as a caregiver and had a client end up with bed bugs. I took multiple months to get an exterminator out to wear they were living 🤦🏼♀️wore PPE when I went it but still gave me the creeps still

My mom had them because my aunt brought them in on her clothes. I had been staying with her for a while and they plagued me. the bites itch and burn so bad😭 I still have scars on my arms from Two years ago
