Swords don’t scale with melee stat. They scale slightly with weapons stat.

Raiser your melee as high as you can. Ergo sum doesn't get it. However, syntho buffs it. Banner of war gives it more damages and applies healing. Void titan upscale it even more with bastion and the other over shield perk. Hunters can debuff with tether/tractor. Snytho on calls/necrotics buffs damage. Winters guile(warlock) and wormgod (titan) buffs damage
