The funny thing is big companies like L'Oréal will offer them £150 for reels, stories etc and they'll do it with no questions and then ask small businesses starting out to pay thousands.

My husband paid one £400 and other micro influencers £150 each, not a single sale resulted from them I was fuming because it was ME who recommended all of them 😭on top of that, everytime I posted resulted in more sales than all of them combined.. never again lol.. the influencers we sent out packages for that didn’t get paid got us more in sales!

Influencer’s unfortunately are fake.. everyone of them is always ‘really excited’ and every five minutes ‘I’ve been trying this for the last few months, stay consistent bla bla bla’ like babe how many lives you got going the same time that you’re trying only the product you’re promoting (and there’s loads of them) 🤯😂

I think times have changed alot since then. a few years ago influencers were a thing amd that business assumed they would get a good ROI of some sorts but now with social media, I truly believe business can thrive without using influencers esp at the beginning.
