It's sweet he values your child's happiness to an irrational degree, but on a side note (and I've had to talk to my husband about this too) I think if you get your child every special toy they like, they can't be used as distractions anymore. it's no longer the doctors special toy or grandma's special tea set, if they have one at home too. They only like them cause of the novelty, and that wears off

Lmao I was going to say babe those are $3 at Walmart. But also, do not buy that toy if it works to distract them and they have more appointments coming up. The reason it works is it’s a novelty… I say this from experience with doing the exact same thing and then it didn’t work as a distraction at the appointment any more 😬😩

Don’t do it!!! It won’t work as well at the doctor to distract your child if it’s another readily available toy at home. Having that one toy only at the doctor makes going there and being there something to look forward to 💖
