@skylarintheoven: 🇸🇻El Salvador Cheese Pound Cake🇸🇻 | Quesadilla Salvadoreña a subtly cheesy, light and moist cake that is perfect with a cup of black coffee! when I first heard “quesadilla” as a recommendation from my salvadoran friend fernanda, I was like ??? but then I looked it up and i was like hey i can really get into this!!! also i tried really hard in my pronounciation guys…please forgive me, i cannot roll my R’s for the life of me wahhh i adapted the recipe from bryan ford’s pan y dulce, substituting half of the flour amount for rice flour since i noticed that when i watched salvadoran youtube videos on this, a lot of them did use rice flour. i didn’t have queso duro in my grocery stores so i did substitute it with parmesan cheese but man oh man it was still so good. i feel like this would be an amazzzinggg layer cake with fig spread + lightly sweetened mascarpone cream, and what not. salty and sweet heh heh this is currently rank #2 for a bakecation diaries dessert that i would bake again. it was so easy, so delicious, and i honestly had a hard time forcing myself to share it with friends and not eat the whole thing by myself hehe recipe will be on substack EVENTUALLY. gotta keep this videos pushing out while im on vacay in germany, but when things calm down i’ll share the knowledge baahahah #bakecationdiaries
