when i was a kid, late at night, after bedtime, my parents were listening to a 60 minutes. I walked out of my bedroom at about 10pm to hear something about a sewer exploding or something, around 2005ish. I was probably 10ish, or around that age. I was born in 1997ish, around that time. I had a waking nightmare. I was terrified. I couldnt go to my parents or else they would know I was up past bedtime. I thought the world was ending or something bc of the ticking noise, and I mustve seen some sort of explosion, although it was mostly the ticking noise that really made things bad for me. as it turns out my parents were on the verge of divorce about 5 years later
