about once a year a (scam) company announces this and looks for a bunch of money from investors. Adam Something on YouTube has documented a fair few of these. One of the reasons this concept doesn't work is because the cost of the driver is effectively negligible, and youre getting rid of the driver by effectively turning each carriage into its own seperate car, which gets rid of most of the benefits of having a train in the first place. so basically you've just massively increased the running cost of the train, which only makes the "fewer trains to remote areas" problem worse, because now it's much harder for a train to actually be profitable. 🤦 We don't need new tech to make rail good, we need policy changes to stop train companies running ridiculous markups to make themselves rich while screwing over everyone else. Also, Cleo: this was all quite easy information to know or find out instead of making this video, and the fact that you didn't is an extremely poor indictment on your journalistic skills.

Just no. We’ve had some really bad train crashes with huge explosions - could have been avoided with a min of 2 drivers - front and back.

we need more and better research on UBI&UBS. The researches participants so far KNEW IT WAS FOR LIMITED TIME so..the wiser among them would still go to work..it doesnt tell us what theyd actaully do had they known they AND their children get UBI&UBS for life. then we would really know. * explanation of terms: **UBI - Universal Basic Income **UBS - Universal Basic Services ***essentailly paying all population enough to sustain basic living conditions (ideally basic services too like transportation etc)
