Are you able to cross with a passport ID card ? I’ll be getting that instead of the book . But I’ve heard from others that the Mexican officials aren’t excepting passport id cards only the books and that makes no sense .

That happened to me my passport expired two days prior they wouldn’t let me in. You can get a new passport in about 2, weeks for an extra 60 bucks. Or wait 4 to 5 weeks at the post office
