I think it’s beautiful that people are discovering and rediscovering the show and Fire Walk With Me. Even The Secret Diary O Laura Palmer and The Return…. The music for and in the show is so potent and moving…it is unlike anything else. I can’t blame people for being touched by it and making edits of those they love to the songs. I think Laura is powerful enough to withstand the many edits…and I think a lot of male fans believe they could have saved her. There is so much to Laura and the town Of Twin Peaks. So much to the Black Lodge and to those who traverse it. I am ok with what is happening. As long as people are still celebrating Laura as well. I want her absence to remain affecting, and for her brief life to be poured into people’s hearts… she would want to live there. In hearts. People don’t keep bad or evil things in that space. It is where the Angels are, I believe. Just inside the heart… just next to the goodness of humanity. Where love and forgiveness move about like smoke. Let people use the music and fall for Laura…let boys believe they could have saved her. The truth will always be that she did the best she could to save herself. She is no longer in pain, and she cherishes, still, every person that cares for her.
