yanmar makes solid quality machines. rarely have issues with them that's more than a hose. John Deere is overpriced and intentionally made to be difficult to repair or add non oe upfits

LS manufactures the case and new holland tractors up to 60 hp. So while they are cheaper, they’re the same quality. Parts are interchangeable

John deere is being carried by its combines and all the old timers and JD glazers because there daddies ran it.

I wanted the opposite. I got a JD 5410. all gear with a cab. I've never had good luck with hydrostatic. it was cheaper then tractors half the size and had less hrs

deere is the harley of tractors. a premium price for basic. 40-60k on the machine, add 10-20k to make it what it should've been out the door.

you also got to figure you don't have to deal with John Deere problems.

Yanmar also has a crazy good warranty. Up here in Pa they’re offering 10 year warranty

John Deere gets so many customers with John Deere financial, crazy low interest rates and that’s how people can afford 60k lol

How much property are you maintaining?

Brandon Brown :
Yeah screw John Deere anymore. We buy mowers and Stihl stuff from them. All we get out of it is high prices to fix stuff, poor mechanical work, poor parts quality, and the "it's not a manufacturer error" runaround when shit breaks and it damn well shouldn't have. In warranty too.

I work in a service department of a Deere dealer. You made a good choice not going green. I swear to you that it has to be 70% of the work in our shop is warranty… they are trash.

I bought an old late 70s 3810d 4x4 Yanmar. Man she is a solid unit. 2700 hours and runs absolutely great for being 20 some odd years older than me lol

Deere is just about a cult anymore, and it's members are the only buyers. More money, proprietary attachments, and missing most base features. Kubota is the Toyota of tractors, bullet proof but at a large premium and lacking some of those base features. The rest aren't necessarily bad, but just not quite the same quality. I went Kubota, but that was basically only because of the local dealer situation IF I need warranty service. Kioti is what I wanted, but the dealers are terrible.
