I am actually excited. concerned about the state of nature, but excited to see where we go before I die. it's kinda like a race. life will go on even if the ecosystem crashes out, might look different, but it will be there, but if the worst happens it will be catastrophic for us too. but we are making amazing leaps, will we fix things? will we weather the storm if it happens? will our concept of us change within my life time? we are approaching a point where sci-fi isn't so unbelievable put next to what we are doing. will we find or overturn a scientific law? break our understanding of the world and advance even faster? how can our potential not be exciting? nothing may happen in my life time, but I can see the potential it might!

Humans are evolving but in a bad way. Everyone talks about the fact that higher intelligence means less babies produced. But kindness, loyalty, refusal to exploit others also mean less babies produced. This benefits the ruling class because of divide and rule. When people loose the ability to form tribes due to the kindness genes being gone they will be forever enslaved.

Based on portraits from the past I'd say humans are becoming more attractive. Is that evolving 🤔 Either that or the people wealthy enough to afford portraits were all ill-favored. And I don't think that artists from several hundred years in the past lacked the skills for an accurate portrayal.
