@coffeewithsimon: 🗒️ EP. 5 | Quiet Productivity at Work I’ll be honest… time management almost ruined my productivity. For years, I thought the answer was time blocking. I scheduled everything — projects, tasks, even breaks. But the truth? If I slipped behind by just a few minutes, I felt stressed. My whole day turned into catch-up mode. Then it hit me: I wasn’t actually being productive. I was just obsessed with sticking to my calendar. So I made a shift. I stopped tracking minutes and started tracking outcomes. Now, every morning I choose my 3 MITs — my Most Important Tasks. The ones that make me a little uncomfortable if I don’t get them done. If I finish them, great; if not, they carry over until I do. And here’s the best part: some of the most successful entrepreneurs and CEOs work the same way. They don’t measure their day by hours — they measure it by outcomes. That simple shift changed everything for me. Productivity isn’t “Did I follow my schedule?” It’s “Did I finish what mattered?” 👍 Like if this resonates. 📌 Save this for tomorrow. 🔔 Follow for more Quiet Productivity at Work. #productivity #productivitytips #careeradvice #careergrowth #leadershipdevelopment

Cforcameron :
Maybe a hybrid approach. Time blocking to prioritize the MITs but don’t time block out the entire day haha

Yep, focus on highest impact. If you’re super busy and organized but not making an impact, it goes unsung. Neglect your “responsibilities” if you must, but make sure you’re providing a big impact that outshines the fact you failed to do the mundane low value work

Mr Smart :
Such a powerful reminder that productivity is about impact, not hours. Focusing on meaningful outcomes instead of rigid schedules.

my mentor calls these "frogs"! the idea is to tackle the most important/most challenging/most "ugh i don't want to do that" thing first to beat procrastination, get momentum, and make the rest of the day easier

This is very helpful…because calendar blocking increased my anxiety due to not keeping committed to the times I blocked out! 🤦🏾♀

Maybe you over did it, timeblocking does not mean to block all 24h/day 🙃

Love this video, but most loved is the fact that you said “tasks that scare you a lil.” Spoke to my imposter syndrome as a new school administrator.
