@xx..becky_218.xx: My rabbit Blueberry this morning woke up and he is lethargic and tired but he isn’t eating. We’ve just been to the vets and they’ve given him and injection of anti sickness and painkiller. Both through injection. My rabbit is grinding his teeth constantly which i know is a sign of pain. I’ve just felt his tummy and he isn’t bloated and it isn’t hard. It’s just it’s normally squishy tummy. He’s just eaten one piece of mixed leaf but he hasn’t eaten anything but that since last night. Is this GI Stasis? #Rabbits #help #fyp #rabbitowner #rabbitsoftiktok
Please take him to an appropriate Rabbit savvy Vet. If that is all the vet did then that is not a Rabbit Savvy Vet. They are supposed to do an X-Ray to check everything before giving anything to make sure they give a correct medicine. You also need medication asap which you can only get by the vet.

Hi! This is GI stasis. Since you’ve already taken them to the vet and they sent you home - your best option now is to feed them critical care every 2 hours or so. I’d also reccomend giving your bunny some belly rubs. I’ve also given baby gas drops (simethicone) which can help as well however this has to be flavour free, dye free etc. I would also recommend force feeding them water through a syringe in addition to the critical care and gas drops! If they don’t get better in a day you may have to consider hospitalising them at the vet

Give him critical care and emeprid (gut mover) from the vets but he has to be pooing or weeing otherwise this will block him up inside and can be serious i hope he is okay!!

Critical care or as we recently found out with one of our boys ask you're vet about EC (Encephalitozoon cuniculi) it's a parasite than can be very deadly we thought GI but our exotic vet went with ec and it was left to late can be fatal or cause head tilt good luck #pawcircle ❤

Syringe feeding critical care. Offer their favourite foods and treats. As much as treats have to be in moderation, in these cases allow for more as if they are eating it will make their gut start moving.

99% sure this is stasis, monitor for eating and poops and if after half a day still nothing take bun back to the vet. rabbits guts are constantly moving so any sign of not eating and not pooping is not good and needs immediate treatment

Can you call up the vet maybe and ask if you can buy critical care? I know vets for pets do sell recovery plus over the counter if you ask for that
