you can get cremated from The Cremation Society for $1,000 $80 for an urn offline $250 for the burial versus 10 to 15,000 for a full burial it's way cheaper

No no. The up charge. I know a crematorium they charge 350$ for any body under 300 pounds. I see major up charge. Funeral Homes take advantage of GRIEF

burial cost at my cemetery for an urn is 1035 where a full casket is 1680. this cost is just for the opening.. and not the cost of the lot.

My two older brothers passed away only a few weeks apart. I had them both cremated. A simple memorial service at my house. Then I spread their rashes in the Mississippi river as they wanted. Definitely did not cost what a normal funeral would. Yet still beautiful.

It cost over $4,000 to cremate my brother in 2022. I found out afterwards that I could've gone straight to the crematory and saved a lot of money.

I don't believe you. I do believe Funeral homes use to take a significant financial hit with a cremation vs a burial. When I was a teen $300 would cremated someone, embalming and burial ran about 5k. I think the industry has intentionally worked to increase cremation cost above normal inflation. At the end of each day, the funeral business is a business

Direct cremation where a high-volume company come picks up the remains, creamates, and returns the ashes in a plastic bag in a cardboard box, $50 urn from Amazon, is a small percentage of a region funeral, lot, burial.

It depends on the funeral home as well. Where I live, a basic cremation can be done for as little as $750 to $3000. You have to check around.
