My dad was homeless in NYC before he passed and oh God I just wish he met someone like this before he went… I wish one person extended their arm and did what I couldn’t do as a child. I hope one person was nice to him.

I ran into a very distraught, homeless gentleman outside of a convenience store a few months back. It was clear he didn’t want to talk, but my little mutt approached him and his whole demeanor changed. He held her and told her how pretty she was for 5 minutes, and walked away smiling. I still think about him every time I stop there. Dogs cure all <3
