I agree that is part of it. There's a little more that goes into it, in my opinion. Ppl who are more prone to addiction also suffer from lower naturally occurring dopamine. Substances increase dopamine. On top of that most addicts have MH issues like unmanaged ocd, add, adhd, and even mild autism. Which is where a situation between chemical and behavioral addiction mingle... so these combinations help to ingrain a dependency to the substance and a compulsive behavioral pattern. There spiritual part, in my opinion, is the self sabotaging behavior... the proclivity of engaging in harmful behavior... that comes dysfunctional dynamics and lack of self love, all those things you are speaking of. There's alot going on inside a person who has a serious addiction. Beautiful message and definitely awareness is needed! I love that you are speaking on this. I am proud to say I am a recovered from substance abuse... clean 5.5 yrs yesterday. I've dived very deep into understanding substance abuse and myself. Worked very hard. Stay strong Beautiful!! Keep spreading love and positivity 💜💜💜💜 We can recover!! 💜💜💜💜

Addiction is the solution to a bigger problem. The problem is unbearable feelings or emotions. People use drugs to numb themselves out of unbearable states of mind when nothing else worked. There is a direct correlation between trauma and addictions.

When I had my awaking years ago after leaving my toxic relationship its then when I knew and could forgive my brith mom! It felt like her life story just went through my mind like a movie to every thing I needed to know it was intense! That scream you talk about is exactly how i responded, crazy part my ex did the same what he did to her right there and then I knew I began to be the 1st to break the gen cycle
