I love renting my landlord just had to pay $15k for an all new ac system and rewiring and i’m just thankful it wasn’t me who had to pay for it lol

You aren’t the only one!! A couple in my family actually sold their home because they have no desire to own a home anymore! They live in apartment with their daughter & they are so much happier!!

I also don’t get the whole thing between own & rent.. like you really don’t “own” the home you’re paying “rent” to the bank for 30+ years and you have to pay for literally everything that goes wrong too 😅 I don’t get it haha.

Renting and owning are both expensive but for me I like knowing I’m paying towards something I’ll one day own vs paying someone else’s mortgage.

My problem with being a home owner is that every little problem is our responsibility, hate it😭 I don’t want to have to fix insulation problems and plumbing issues. Give me back the landlords😭😭

I don’t regret buying obviously Airbnb isn’t renting but living in something we don’t own stresses me out, and oh man selling and buying is the worst ever so don’t plan on doing it again after we move home in a few years 😅❤️I know you didn’t ask but that’s my thoughts on it😂

I love owning my home. While all of the other houses in my neighborhood rent for $1,400-$2,00 a month here I am paying $850 a month.

we’re renting and don’t plan on buying because truly if something breaks it’s not on us our ac went out and 5 grand was on the landlord because it’s his house 🤷🏽♀

Does South Carolina offer “school of choice”? They have it here in MI so I can put my kids in a different school district if I want to!

I will say buying for me MEANS investing into a good community - we bought a home in a great school district, community, etc. I always tell people do NOT buy anywhere that does not have those things! One because it hurts YOU and two because you won’t make good money when you sell!

Just curious…why didn’t you buy a house in an area with good schools. My friends did this. Made the sacrifice living in an area do her sons could have premium education. Worth it. Kids graduated with honours from the top high schools in the country.

This is a big thing I bought a house when I was young. I’m only 25 now but I bought it when I was 22 and I wish I would’ve waited and found some things that fit my family that I was in the process of making.
