@alinaprokuda: Nothing says comfort dish season like bubbling mac ’n cheese fresh from the oven 🔥 Ingredients * 1 lb cavatappi pasta * 1/2 lb Gouda cheese * 1 lb low moisture mozzarella, shredded * 1/2 lb colby jack, shredded * ½ lb sharp cheddar, shredded * 3 cloves garlic, minced * 1 tsp each: onion powder, smoked paprika, dry mustard powder. * 3 tbsp unsalted butter * 3 tbsp flour * 12 oz evaporated milk * 2 cups heavy cream + save a cup of pasta water to add if the mixture will be too thick. * Salt & black pepper Instructions 1. Cook pasta: Boil cavatappi until al dente, drain. 2. Make sauce: Melt butter, sauté garlic 1–2 min. Stir in flour, cook 1 min. Slowly whisk in evaporated milk + cream; simmer 3–4 min. 3. Season & cheese: Add onion powder, paprika, dry mustard powder , salt, pepper. Stir in cheeses until smooth. 4.Combine: Mix pasta into sauce. 5. Bake: Transfer to greased dish, top with extra cheese (or breadcrumbs). Bake at 400°F until cheese is golden brown and bubbly (labout 10 min).
