@halesmye: Replying to @_e l l i e_ 💙 aside from blocking my mechanical panel, this is why I chose the current layout of my living room 👀👀 it’s a lot more cohesive in my opinion and views are great from both layouts but comment your thoughts!! #halesmye #chicagoapartment #interiordesign #interiorstyling #homeinspo

I do get what you mean, but the view is a part of draw and space, it's okay to let it shine!! Lol - There is also so much more light with the couch against the wall rather than blocking the window. I do think if you change it, the rug would need changing.

People in the comments arguing like the small portion of couch on the bottom half of a FULL floor to ceiling window is blocking tremendous amounts of light … likes guys the original layout still lets in more natural light that most spaces and it adds intimacy / privacy so your not showing your entire apartment

Couch against the window, for sure. It’s literally a see-through wall, why would you ever design around it or not incorporate it as a designable part of the room? And the second layout looks very standard, no intrigue. You have fantastic instincts ❤

Couch against the wall works to optimize window light and makes the room feel more spacious! Though if u choose that I would personally swap to a circular coffee table so it’s giving the same impact from all sides of the room. All that said, your taste is king! You do you boo

I never like couches against the window. People pay extra for floor to ceiling windows and you probably do to. People also pay extra for natural lighting and couches against windows block that

Maybe the people said to move the couch because it’s bad feng shui? Idk. I prefer the couch on the wall but it’s your place friend!

I would never want to sit against the light… I get the ‘design’ side of things but personally I would have it against the wall for sure

Easy Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies 🍪🤎 These brown butter chocolate chip cookies are soft, gooey and packed with chocolate, with the most delicious nutty flavour from the browned butter 🤤 They’re so easy to make and perfect when you fancy a homemade sweet treat. Golden and slightly crisp around the edges, with a soft, gooey centre and plenty of melted chocolate 🍫 ✨ SAVE THIS RECIPE ✨ Makes 8–10 big cookies 🛒 INGREDIENTS 🧈 115g unsalted butter
🤎 100g soft brown sugar
🍚 50g caster sugar
🥚 1 egg
🤍 1 tsp vanilla extract
🌾 170g plain flour
🥄 ½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
🧂 ½ tsp fine salt
🍫 150g chocolate chunks or chocolate chips
🧂 Flaky sea salt, for topping 👩🏼‍🍳 METHOD 1️⃣ Add the butter to a saucepan over medium heat. Stir regularly until melted, then continue cooking until golden brown and smelling nutty, with little brown flecks appearing. 2️⃣ Remove from the heat and leave to cool for around 5 minutes. 3️⃣ Stir the brown sugar and caster sugar into the browned butter until combined. 4️⃣ Mix in the egg and vanilla until smooth. 5️⃣ Add the flour, bicarbonate of soda and salt. Stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix. 6️⃣ Fold through the chocolate chunks, saving a few pieces to press into the tops. 7️⃣ Divide the dough into 8–10 balls. Place them onto a lined baking tray, leaving plenty of space between each cookie. Don’t flatten them, then press a few extra chocolate pieces into the tops. 8️⃣ Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C fan for 10–12 minutes, until the edges are golden but the centres still look soft and slightly underbaked. 9️⃣ Sprinkle with flaky sea salt as soon as they come out of the oven. 🔟 Leave them on the baking tray for 5–10 minutes before moving them. They’ll firm up as they cool while staying soft and gooey in the middle. 🍪🤎 Brown butter cookies | chocolate chip cookies | gooey cookies | easy baking recipe | homemade cookies | soft cookies | easy dessert #BrownButterCookies #ChocolateChipCookies #EasyBaking #CookieRecipe #HomemadeCookies
