Do you feel like 2020 was the perfect example of what’s happening right now to the left with losing their jobs? I’ve thought about this a lot. THOUSANDS of people (mostly on the right) lost their jobs for exercising their right to choose what they wanted to do with their body. (Just like the left is choosing to use their freedom of speech right now and losing their jobs because of it). Then the left called those people selfish, stopped talking to family and friends because of it, and to top it all off lost their jobs and livelihoods. It all is a bunch of hypocrisy if you ask me. That’s why I can’t align myself and my values with either side. At the end of the day both sides are becoming so extreme it’s scary.

Those people getting fired has nothing to do with the gov or "sides", that is up to the employer. Most reps wld not be happy if some stupid law was passed against free speech, & that's exactly why Pam Bondi is getting backlash for her "hate speech" comments. Bc most of us aren't hypocrites

I’m not arguing, I’m stating people getting fired that work with children or in the medical community that are attempting to JUSTIFY murder or even joking about it- shouldn’t be in those positions. I’m not bothered by what you said, I’m showing the similarities in the type of people need to be around our kids. I’m trying to have a discussion, I said I was saying what I said with respect.

Clearly through text the intention of my comment is being taken as an attack, it simply wasn’t. I like you as a person, I think everything you’re questioning and speaking on is important. I was just trying to have a discussion. I’ve been as a no party affiliation my whole life because of the things everyone is finally seeing.

He’s off the air because nexstar and Sinclair broadcasting issued statements to Disney they were dropping his show. Disney made the decision to pull his show from all abc stations. An employer has every right to do what’s in the best interest of the company. In this case nexstar and Sinclair did just that, Disney followed suit!

idk hypocrisy is everywhere. rosanne was canceled during a time when everything wasn't offensive. we're now living in a time where everything is offensive. we're removing people's faces from products they created their face should be the face of the company they created. rosanne shouldn't have been canceled. people who voted for Trump shouldn't have lost their jobs. people who chose to not get vaccinated shouldn't have lost their jobs. idk hypocrisy is everywhere. we are just doomed to relive the 💩 of past time on repeat.

It’s crazy on both sides. People forget this started when a party censored a president and removed him from Twitter during an election, when Zuckerberg admitted they censored everything Biden asked them to during an election, when multiple republicans lost their jobs for jokes and statements the other side didn’t agree with, when cops and others lost their jobs, people lost their jobs during vaccine mandates. People have always been censored. Why is it an issue now all of a sudden? No one fought for freedom of speech until it affected a certain side. Jimmy Kimmel probably shouldn’t have lost his job over this specific thing, it honestly wasn’t that bad. And I agreed with it mostly. I’m full conservative and question the things this president says constantly. But he has said way worse and probably should already been gone. The outrage of someone losing their job vs someone losing their life is the issue to me. That’s the line for me. Jimmy laughed and joked about others losing their job over freedom of speech so it’s ironic the outrage for him. Employers can remove people they won’t associates with them. Freedom of speech means you aren’t prosecuted for it, not that jour job is safe. And Charlie actually fought for freedom of speech, ironically. He wanted the conversation. Not censorship. He wouldn’t have wanted Jimmy fired. If you watch his full videos and not clips, he was not what the media shows. And he was his own boss so he wasn’t losing his job for his opinions but he did lose his life.

I don’t feel people losing their jobs over what they say is completely right. But, how do we clean up the hateful and dangerous rhetoric? I have a strong mind and can think for myself, but there are others who are weak. 🤷🏻♀️. It’s a war of morality. 😞
