Oh boy, the year was 2001, had a similar drop off. Turbo Supra lack of power on accel, doctor owner leaving the country. Just fix it, price doesn’t matter. Young me afraid to spend that turbo money didn’t fix it. Doctor owner came to pick his not fixed car up, WAS FURIOUS. After yelling at me for an hour fixed his car and delivered it to him the next day. Never called him again for authorization, just fixed his car.

I had a customer do that to me. we wasn't a fell service shop.. they got oil change fuel injectioncleaner, top treatment, 4 tires, all exterior bulbs replaced and a headlight restoration, he came back and I was the one to check him out with a smile on my face. he was actually happy about it all too
