That’s why I told my boss I don’t want 200k, I’ll just take 100k

Why are y'all afraid of paying taxes? If anything this is an argument for dual incomes. The example where one person is making 200k assumes the other person is not working at all.

‼️You can’t do this in Canada, but you can contribute to your spouse’s RRSP to reduce your taxable income

I thought you can’t split income anymore unless both are actively involved in the business.

Quick question: are you already running any ads or using a landing page to get clients before tax season starts?
I help tax agents set up simple systems that bring in ready-to-file leads before January hits.

Hey bud, I got a question, do Canadians have to pay their property tax quarterly or yearly? If payments are not made quarterly is there interest quarterly or yearly?

Sigh. Everything in Canada is set up to benefit couples and families. The govt doesn’t give a crap about singles…

This is misleading. Only pensions/RRSPs are eligible.

Is this possible for a couple in their 30’s. I thought it was for retired couples? Also is this only possible if you put it in a spousal RRSP? Don’t want to do that both have defined benefit pensions. Won’t ever get the benefit of an RRSP as income in retirement is lower but same tax bracket.
