They don’t refund or compensate me when the train is extremely delayed, when they change service on the fly, when there is no service in certain lines…I have to argue when the machine eats my swipe sometimes. Hopping is justified off this alone.

Against hopping the gate but I think public transit should be more accessible or as close to free as possible. The not cops blocking the exit gates are a total waste of money & impede more people exiting the station than any fare evasion they prevent
