Why would a Nurse be making the dose. Why didn't the Dr order a specific dose. Since when does a Nurse come up with a dose on her own. This does not even sound like a true story.

This is why dosage calculation exams exist in nursing school. My instructor always said, if you end up with an answer that seems unrealistic (10 tablets, 5 vials, etc), it is. This is why these exams are taken so seriously. We couldn't pass meds in nursing school until we passed it each quarter.

I'm so confused how that happened because if it was the standard 1ml ampule, it'd say "20mg in 1ml" or "20mg/ml" on it, aka it says 20mg I can sorta understand how if she grabbed the 5mg/ml ampule, but the 20mg ampule (which is the one she would've HAD to use if she did 5 syringes, total dose being 100mg) it doesn't even SAY 5mg anywhere on the package???
