This almost happened to me! We sold a property and took the VRBO listing down but some how it was still up, somebody booked. Thank goodness saw the email.

Sadly the hosts are supposed to honor the active reservations. But they don’t realize that so they take the money and run

I spent 3 hours on the phone with support because I was told less then 4 days before a reservation "Oh we dont rent that location anymore". That was 3 weeks ago and we still dont have a refund.

That happened to my brother and his friends and they broke in. Cops came and they said it was open and showed them the vrbo booking 🤣
