I did have a bad experience at hobbs nm , I took my dodge charger car to this mechanic so they fix it because it was over heat 🔥 a lot supposed he did fix it but in 2 day's happen again so I when and took it with someone else and they said it looks they didn't do anything, so I told him if they can fix it and he said he can't be fix , he recommended put a new motor if not he will buy it from me and of course I said no ..

matt ive literally been taken advantage of by a mechanic because i am a woman. it happens a lot here in Australia. a lot of scungy people unfortunately.

a dealership messed my car up. I took it to one shop he said the only thing wrong was rear main seal leak. it was a big job had to take it to the dealer. they fixed that had the car broke down 2 hours later they said my time chain needed redone. paid for that got it from the shop hour later broke down. they said then was my pistons broke. none of that made sense.

As someone who works on my own car you never know what will happen, you can fix a part and then find out that part wasn’t causing your problem

I worked in a dealership as a tech the first and second year models are pretty much junk by the third and fourth year they have it figured out and the vehicle is as good as it's going to get the makers change the models every 4 years normally because they don't want a good car LOL

The real issue is, they don’t diagnose it the right . As you know, there’s a lot of good mechanics, but also there’s a lot of rip you off mechanics

we have a local mechanic that we brought our explorer to get brakes done. he saw some problems and he called me and said this is what it will cost, not worth it and that's just stuff I can see without digging. he said he wants repeat customers just not that way haha

With my experience with kia, they caused more problems than before and they upright refused to fix what they broke. I have noticed smaller companies care more.

Yeah like when you replace the top water hose, you are going to have to replace the bottom water hose soon after. Letting the customer know that ahead of time is very helpful.
