orange juice is also about 0.5% alcohol naturally, as do many other fruit juices. That's considered fully non alcoholic when it comes to pregnancy safety.

0.5% if classed as non alcoholic. like decaf coffee still has caffeine just low enough to be classed as decaf

0.05% is basically the naturally occurring alchohol. Most fruit juices have 0.5% but don’t state it because it will have no impact. I know it’s so stressful but it will not affect your baby or your pregnancy

If you eat sourdough it’s also typically 0.5%… or kombucha, very ripe fruit, fruit juices etc. so do you avoid it all? It’s not enough to consider being alcoholic

Girl I mean yeah especially as a restaurant worker surprised you didn’t know that. Kombucha and so many other n/a beverages or fermented foods also do. It’s a small enough amount you’re fine to have it though.

Ripe fruit is also considered non-alcoholic but contains about 0.5% alcohol. This isn’t an issue of alcohol regulations/labels it’s an issue of you not being aware that lots of things contain a tiny bit of alcohol.

Ripe Bananas, kombucha, grape juice, mustard, soy sauce etc all have .5% alcohol or less - things just naturally contain “alcohol” - I promise you you are fine

It's kind of like decaf coffee still has an extremely small amount of caffeine. It's fine unless you actually have an allergy.

I figured this was known by people who work with alcohol? Non-alcoholic and alcohol free are not the same thing. People use the words interchangeably. But there is a difference.

You will be fine, but yeah, unfortunately that's not uncommon for "alcohol free" to have some amount in it still.

Did you know that decaffeinated coffee has caffeine in it? Trace amounts. That is sort of what happens with beer. Fermentation is alcohol. Check and see what else has alcohol in it.

this was safe to drink. The alcohol content is so small as to not matter except possibly to someone taking disulfram. it's basically just like juice which is also safe during pregnancy.

Heather :
Sorry girl, but this is true of basically all NA products that are alcohol removed, like NA beer and wine. It is such a small amount it is fine. The same amount is in a lot of fruit juices. You’d have to stick to the NA drinks that never contained alcohol, like Recess, for truly alcohol free

it's like decaf coffee. they can't remove it 100% and legal standards allow them to call it non-alcoholic if it's below a certain percentage.

Honeybunchesof :
Lots of fruit juices actually contain up to .5% alcohol some breads are up to 1% alcohol, I promise this is less of a problem than it seems even ripe bananas have .04% alcohol some mustards and soy sauce can be 1-2% alcohol the reason it’s non alcoholic is because the amount is negligible and isn’t going to do anything
