hey, uhm, goth evolved out of punk. while punk is very political, goth was always about the music, the feeling, the atmosphere, clothing and aesthetics. that's why some people call goth the "failed punk". goth itself is unpolitical, hope this helps (:

I totally agree that the goth culture is so heavily rooted in politics and it’s important you uphold those values, but not everyone wants to be posting about it. Some of us have parents that would reign hell on us for it, some of us just don’t really want the negative attention that comes with it. I believe for the most part that goths are respectful of other people’s opinions and beliefs. Not posting about politics is someone’s opinion. I don’t post about politics but I sure as hell repost and spread it in person. Hot take, we should respect people’s choices🤷‍♀
