Farming is more automized is a crazy pull, farming still requires lots of strength. I also think its a weird pull with how common it is/was for women to be strong farm workers on family farms.

I'll be more than happy to be a receptionist but people don't hire men for those roles in the same way that I've worked at restaurants that wouldn't hire men for front of house jobs, the problem is the hiring practices not the men not being willing to take the jobs.

youre right! but also lots of places dont or wont hire men for those jobs. these companies are aware that sex sells and having a nice lady at the customer facing job is a much better way to achieve that.
