honestly when I was this girls age it was the same deal, my parents never actually kicked me out but I would refuse to get a job or do anything and this went on for a long time up until I was 25. I’m blessed I have such amazing parents that gave me chance after chance, I wasn’t mean to my parents and I never broke any of their things but I just didn’t wanna work or do anything and looking back I was a lot more unhappy even tho not working or studying sounds like the dream but I felt empty. I think If they actually would have kicked me out for good it would have ruined my relationship with them for ever and it would have been my fault. Although I feel for this mom and understand I think 21 is still young, most 21 year olds have a lot of growing up to do and some of us take longer with that. Idk the situation so I can’t really say who’s in the wrong but in my opinion family is the only ones you’d expect to be there for you when you’re at your worst. If family isn’t there for you when you need them most no one else will be, and sometimes we just need help and time. Had my parents kicked me out for real it would have only damaged me more and I will do for my kids what my family did for me.

My son is 24 and in full time work my daughter is 19 and at university we would never dream of charging them anything to live at home!! Disgusting.
