Do not base the BP off of where you see the needle move, the BP is when you hear the beats. Systolic is the first loudest beat, diastolic is the very last beat you hear. This BP would be 110/72.

Going by the Korotkoff sounds (1st and last) I got 110/70. Going by the sphygmomanometer dial alone more like 138/70

When taking bp you are listening for the heart sounds not looking at the needle necessarily. When the needle starts moving before you hear the heart sounds its because its picking up the arterial pulse.
