My mortgage is $600 a month for a 2200 sq. ft. house 4 bdrm 2 ba. built in 2005 in the Coachella Valley in a great neighborhood with the best mountain views in my backyard. ❤️hearing about all these rent prices nowadays is just insane.

I’m a New Yorker, I moved out of NY with a way lower mortgage than your rent. It baffles me when people move to NY the rent is ridiculous. But it is my city and I do love it. I just needed more bank for buck! Enjoy Central Park and Bryant park in the winter!!

Our daughter has lived in Manhattan for 2 yrs. Her studio is $2,700 a month with laundry in building. If your paying 4k for a studio im guessing it might be in a higher priced burroughs, or a building with 'ammenities' of some kind? She made the move there from LA & she is enjoying NYC. More exciting, lots to do socially, totally walkable, geberally she feels safer. She doesnt care for the subway so she made sure to choose a location that walkable to work & shopping etc. Winter definitely takes some getting used to! She had to invest in quality real winter gear a couple of years ago to include a long weather/proof coat & gloves for the 1st time ever.😁

my son pays $3100 in Brooklyn NY. my son 1st moved to Manhattan, we are from LA, he only lasted 6mo, he didn't like Manhattan he missed the mexican food, so he moved to Brooklyn
