He should have gotten the premium plus or luxury because those rims absolutely kill its appearance. This is mine and I love it! I was going to get a GLE but wanted something that would retain its value and not cost an arm and a leg to maintain.

actually for these i believe you need to push in on the inside handles, the door release is electronic so the way you showed is in case the battery dies

You push the door handle in the inside to open it normal. You pull the latch for emergency exit for manual exit
