I don’t think people understand the severity of this situation. First off, it’s clear he wasn’t in the right state of mind he was talking about wanting to go to heaven, attacked his mother, and then attacked a police officer, leaving the officer with a head injury and bleeding. On top of that, he bit an officer’s finger off. Even if that hadn’t happened, he still inflicted harm and kept resisting. The tasers weren’t working, restraining him wasn’t working at that point, there were very few options left.
