@shaunwanders: on our Japan trip, we traveled from Kyoto to Mount Koya to stay in a Buddhist Temple lodging with monks, and here’s what it was like. this experience is known as a Shukubo. we did guided meditations in the evening and morning with the monks, witnessed the fire ritual, ate an incredible meal, and tried out the hot spring baths. definitely a part of our Japan itinerary I’ll never forget! if you’re looking for things to do in your trip to Japan, definitely take the trip up to Koyasan for a Temple stay. #shukubo #japantrip #koyasan #japanitinerary #japantravel
