My parents have been in a successful marriage with these opposing sleep schedules for 25 years. My mom works in a school so during the summer when she stays up later it feels like a treat for all of us. You know she really likes a show if she stays up for an extra episode lol. When she goes to bed it’s special night owl time for me my dad and my brother :)

As a night owl, unless the other person affects my sleep schedule (forcing me to sleep at the same time/making me wake up at the same time) I wouldn’t mind at all. I do understand him feeling is boring not having time to share with your partner due to different schedules.
