They usually make them pay less than they actually got from crime and Curtis Warren the gangster didn't have to give up £80million because he got it before that law came out. They did get him for some other money but not that part.

in the Netherlands you have to pay income tax over criminal proceeds.. those judgement can haunt you often way longer than the criminal proceedings

What about if you paid your realisable asset but you then get out start a new life will they still carry on taking assets for your benefit figure?
