I visited NYC last summer and didn’t encounter any of these scams. A guy did want to charge me $200 for a carriage ride through Central Park, I just told him that I’ll walk and it won’t cost me a dime. 😂

the time square costume people will stop you take a picture on their camera and then ask for money.

haven't seen any of these but nowadays, virtually no one is carrying cash. And its almost impossible to steal a bag, NY airports luggage areas are not near any exits. Phone swap, I think that's your own fault if you give it to a stranger. A scam bigger than all of these in NYC are "resort fees" 😆

The first scam makes no sense. Why would I reward someone for honesty of not keeping someone else’s wallet. I mean. I get pressuring people into giving money can be a thing on its own. But with the premise not making one lick of sense at this point it’s just straight panhandling.
