@conmadd: There’s a number of things that if I’d done differently on my running journey I think I would’ve progressed a lot quicker! Here’s 4 running mistakes that (I think) slowed down my progress (and probably slowing down your running progress too!): 1. Not eating enough! I think we underestimate how demanding running is and it wasn’t until I started properly fuelling I noticed my runs felt a lot easier. 2. Stretching my hips when they needed strengthening. My hips weren’t actually strong enough to cope with the volume of running! 3. Skipping intervals! Once I started incorporating these into my plan properly, I noticed the biggest difference in my fitness and speed! 4. Comparing myself!! I would see people around me running crazy distances but I’ve learned everyone’s journey is different and it’s better to take your time and not end up injured! #runningtips #runningjourney #beginnerrunner #runningwomen #10ktrainingplan

what does speed work look like for you ? i’ve been trying to incorporate sprint/walk intervals and tempo runs (maintaining a zone 4-5 pace for 20-30 mins) but i’m not sure i’m doing enough. i really wanna improve my pace

Eating enough muses such a difference. I tried to cut my intact & was tracking & measuring everything & got injured. Started eating more & running better again.
