Ummm….kinda impossible… did you just sit and wait the 3.5 hrs? You should have gone and asked multiple help desks until you got checked in. Check in counters CLOSE 1 hour before departure! They are supposed to open 3 hrs before.

More context for those jumping to conclusions: Our flight was from America to Albania through Turkish Airlines. The flight had a layover in Istanbul, so we did the stopover program where you can stay a few days in Istanbul then continue your journey. When we came back to the airport, we had to check-in, give them our luggage, and go through security. For everyone asking what I did that whole time: I literally kept going to the help desk to ask them for the check-in counter number because the flight board did not show it. They kept telling me to wait. By the time they finally gave me the counter number and we got there they already closed it.

not true. every airline opens their counter at different times. you have to go to the information booth and ask what counter you should be at abd when they open so you dont stand around

As someone who has traveled with turkish airlines and been at the turkish airport - i get it. Their transit especially is HORRIBLE. So many people missed their flights and their service is poor 😭

It happened to my family and they were forced to wait 11 hours, at the airport with young children. And this happened like a week ago. Turkish Airlines and Istanbul Airport are a joke. For my family, it was a connecting flight to Greece

I completely agree, this almost happened to me coming back from Italy. Absolutely no announcement or anything in the board for an hour and a half. We then take a small peak at it 10 minutes later for it to say it Shuts in 11 minutes. We ran to that gate like nobody was watching. Some airlines are shocking

Never under any circumstances would I take Turkish airlines. I would rather pay 3 times than use them. The worst thing is they don’t even speak English at international airport.

From her other video, the staff opened the counter 3pm to 3.30pm and girl where re u during this time? If my flight at 4pm, arrived 12.30pm… 2.30-3pm i panic and asked around already. Idk what time she speak with the staff. I agree the staff still at wrong but girl, we need to know where are u????
