it's crazy how our perception of ourselves is so skewed. I just binged several of your videos and thought this woman would be friends with my friend Lauren (she's one of the most beautiful humans I know and look up to) After hearing this, I just realized how differently we see ourselves compared to others. why did I think you could only be friends with one of the best people I know and not myself. It’s so hard. I hear you. When I was living with major sleep deprivation with my first baby I actually got angry “WHY ISNT ANYONE TALKING ABOUT THIS?! HOW ARE ALL THESE PARENTS GOING ABOUT THEIR DAY ACTING LIKE NOTHING’S WRONG??!” We’re all expected to just keep working and keep up with life like normal. Parents of babies & toddlers are HEROES

Thank you for sharing some of your struggles! We’re in crisis mode over here too, my oldest has uncontrolled epilepsy and my 5 yo has multiple meltdowns a day that are EXHAUSTING. I have to put them to bed before 8 just to try to get enough sleep to handle them both😫

My youngest was the worst sleeper. It took forever to get him to sleep and he never slept through the night. I think around age 3 we switched to co-sleeping. It was a game changer. It wasn't ideal for me but he started to fall asleep quickly and sleep through the night.

Sleep is so important. I had the best sleep in years when I was in the hospital a bit ago, and learned that I need to sleep at a pretty sharp angle. I feel for both of you! Also, the country sucks right now too, so that doesn’t help.

Lack of sleep made us crazy. We had two very energetic boys back to back . And I’ll probably get a lot of negative comments for this, but we finally caved and used melatonin as recommended by the pediatrician (who said sleep is most important for a growing child). I have autoimmune issues so I have to sleep or I’ll flare, so my husband is the one who gets up with the kids in the morning. But we both now get at least 6-8 hours. Now that they’re in school they’re starting to very slowly out grow the need for it. But this made our whole house healthy , present, and thriving! I hated the idea but nothing else worked and it’s what worked for us in the end. Good luck to you and your family, young kids are hard!
