![🔹 Be sincere in your search for the truth, and do not follow your religion based on emotions or blind imitation. Allah سبحانه وتعالى commanded you to use the mind He has honored you with, as He said: • “Do not follow what you have no knowledge of. Indeed, the hearing, the sight, and the heart—all will be questioned about it.” (Al-Isra:36) • “Have you taken them and their descendants as lords besides Allah, while they are enemies to you?” (Al-Ma’idah:51) • “Do not follow the desires of a people who went astray before and led many away from the path.” (Al-Ma’idah:77) • “And of the people is he who takes besides Allah others as equals, loving them as he should love Allah.” (Al-Baqarah:165) and He said: ﴿They have taken their rabbis and monks as lords besides Allah﴾ [At-Tawbah:31]. So beware of making scholars or shaykhs into “lords” whom you follow in falsehood without evidence from the Qur’an and Sunnah (the authentic teachings of the Prophet ﷺ). 🔹 And know that the greatest danger to the Ummah (Muslim nation) is bid‘ah (innovation in religion) and deviation in belief. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Every newly invented matter is a bid‘ah (innovation), every bid‘ah is misguidance, and every misguidance is in the Fire.” (Narrated by al-Nasa’i and authenticated by al-Albani). He ﷺ also said: “Whoever introduces into this matter of ours that which is not from it, it will be rejected.” (Agreed upon). Imam Malik رحمه الله said: “Whoever introduces into Islam a bid‘ah (innovation) and deems it good has claimed that Muhammad betrayed the Message,” then he recited the verse: ﴿This day I have perfected for you your religion﴾ [Al-Ma’idah:3]. 🔹 The Prophet ﷺ also warned against division: “The Jews split into seventy-one sects, the Christians split into seventy-two sects, and this Ummah (nation) will split into seventy-three sects, all of them in the Fire except one.” It was said: Who are they, O Messenger of Allah? He said: “Those who are upon what I and my Companions are upon.” In another narration: “It is the Jama‘ah (the united body of Muslims upon truth).” (Narrated by Abu Dawud, al-Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah, and al-Hakim who authenticated it). 🔹 And among the greatest ahadith showing the seriousness of innovation and deviation is what the Prophet ﷺ said about the Hawd (Hawd al-Kawthar – the Fountain granted to him on the Day of Judgment): “I am your predecessor at the Hawd (Hawd al-Kawthar). Whoever comes to it will drink from it, and whoever drinks from it will never be thirsty again. Some people will come to me whom I know and they know me, but then a barrier will be placed between me and them. I will say: ‘They are from me!’ But it will be said: ‘You do not know what they innovated after you.’ So I will say: ‘Away, away with those who changed after me!’” (Narrated by al-Bukhari). This hadith was narrated by several Companions, among them: Abu Sa‘id al-Khudri, Aisha, Asma’ bint Abi Bakr, and Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with them all) — which shows the great importance and seriousness of its meaning. ❤️ Muslims love and respect the Ahl al-Bayt. Claims otherwise by some groups are false. We also respect all companions, as Allah praised them in the Qur’an: “The first forerunners [in faith] among the Muhajirun and the Ansar and those who followed them with good conduct—Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him. He has prepared for them gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever.
