You need to look up learning Russian for children, there’s tons of free PDFs made by actual school grade teachers, and make flash cards from the information, study every night, and speak it every day out loud.

tried Duolingo and one of the first lessons was about a red glittery dress. not "hello" or "how are you?" or "is it cold?" but "he's wearing a glittery red dress."

best thing to do would be to join discord servers and actually speak with native russian speakers, i’m sure there are some specifically for people learning languages, maybe you could help somebody with english and they could help you with russian. you may even make a new friend
