the brain is a tool we use to percieve reality and it is desperate to interpret experience in a digestible way and to limit stress and overwhelm. maybe the brain limits our interpretation of reality because we struggle to comprehend and function in it otherwise?

What we experience consciously is a prediction of the workd around us. The brain produces such predictions constantly, and they are filtered/corrected by sensory data, which takes more processing. On psychedelics, this filtering process is inhibited or altered in interesting ways, which is why the mri scans give these results. Fascinating

like a transformer for electricity, it's limited to achieve a function. the feeling of oneness on psychedelics is just consciousness when it's in a less restricted arena and allowing the charge in the transformer to feel more in touch with source
