Rewatching Adventure time recently as an adult now is lowkey what gave me a reason to care about my life again 😌 the philosophy of it all.. someone smarter than me has probably put it into words but if I got handed an essay on it and enough time I could talk on and on. It's literally up there as one of the greatest in my opinion along with many other shows like attack on titan, spongebob, hunger games etc. It's always stuff aimed at kids I feel that can have the most strangely profound messages. It's like a reflection of the creators ideas about humanity "Through the simple act of creation... I really liked their idea of reincarnation, it isn’t good or bad(cause the lich also came from a catalyst comet), it just happens, and the person you live as during that life is just who that person is, I specifically liked the convo with the comet, I’d really like to talk with a past life like this, they describe what Finn would be leaving, he says “it doesn’t seem bad” “it’s not bad I’m just offering you another mode of existence” it’s existential and I like the whole convo, I personally would’ve taken the offer.
