Within the first 30 secs, I know if the hiring manager read my CV. It's a dual way communication. As an interviewee, I spent the effort and time for the interview. As for the interviewers, I've seen too many of them who don't even read our CV.

I feel so fake reciting the same 10 answers all the time, but if you’re telling me you want my pre rehearsed answers, so be it. I don’t think you’re getting to know the fit, you’re getting my robotic answers, a collection of what has worked best in the past…

Sooo rehearse your answers like a robot so they can find the best actor👏 when hired on, that actor aka fake person, won’t last and the consent then spends more time and moment trying to find a REAL candidate vs some BS script all the time.

Stop. Prepared candidates stumble and fidget all the time. We are nervous. It doesn’t matter how prepared we are or how many times we’ve rehearsed out loud, we care about the job and the interview. We’re nervous and this makes me even more nervous knowing I’m being judged for fidgeting and stumbling.

Most of these show companies don’t care about best fit/qualification if that’s the case but rather who can memorize best and repeat back at you aka who is the parrot. Be your authentic self and if they don’t hire you you aren’t meant to be there

I don’t ask any of these questions and I have a thriving business placing candidates. Don’t care about any of this. Only care if you have relevant experience and you don’t leave jobs frequently.
