It is. Things that should not be sweet...are sweet. And not like dessert sweet, but just a slightly sweet taste that should not be there. Like the garlic bread.

I think the Koreans and foreigners are talking about 2 different cuisines. Korean cuisine can be salty and spicy. The foods the foreigners are talking about that is sweet are Korean interpretations of foreign food.

Lot of meals have 올리고당, 물엿 or sugar as ingredients 😆 even the sauce in chicken and donkasu is sweet. I think they can’t recognize it cuz they only think of sweets and desserts when we say it tastes sweet.

The ones who say it isn’t sweet haven’t actually cooked Korean food hahah I’m shocked whenever my bf cooks for me. At least 3-4 spoons of sugar and 0 of salt 😂
